Somewhere inside me, I know they always wanted me. Maybe they just got lost! ? August Rush

I think I know why I may be hard to connect to for some people, aspiring business people and lack-luster networking business owners in particular. I am so focused, so specific and every meeting has to be so purposeful that I don?t give others the time they need to get all warm and fuzzy. I don?t do it to hurt anyone. My actions are purely a rebellion to commonness and the anti-adventure of all things average.

Every networking event, every kind of meeting must yield results. Those results and expectations depend on several things namingly where we are and what type of event is being held.

Who am I supposed to meet? When are we going to connect? Now or in a year? Who will buy a product or service? Who will book me for a speaking or media engagement? Is there something to learn, and apply to my life that would make my experiences more meaningful?

I need to give myself reason to come out and spend time in an environment because when I don?t feel full, I feel empty. And who wants to come out of the house full, and leave the place that they have invested time and money into entertaining, empty? My connections, all meetings should add to me in a spiritual or financial way. These areas offer the greatest evidence of increase in my life.

My emotions are a balanced agent. When I network, I don?t want to collect business cards or fill my front seat with various sized postcards. I don?t want to be social for the sake of it. I?m tired of following up. I need a bookshelf for business cards. I want to be a solution provider; to solve problems. And, I want those around me to have the same kind of thought process.

Although some future projects can be very rewarding, and fit into your unexpected business success handsomely, for the most part I believe that instant gratification if no where else, should matter in areas of business networking.

I believe that anytime you become confident enough to make a personal declaration, you enter the doors that hearken to the voice of your command. There is a sound of victory. There is a sound of the open door, and as a responsible person who believes what they have spoken, how dare we not walk through the very door we?ve opened with our faith?

I am looking forward to open doors to the right relationships, better health, more income, and dreams come true. I hope you intend to join me. You see, I have learned that we as business owners are not all the same. We don?t all have the same level of faith or the same perseverance. In many cases we are unequally yoked.

What I intend to do this year is find business partners who become life friends. I intend to meet people who are inspired by the fact that I created a World Holiday today, who aren?t confused at my ability to be authentic and outrageously intuitive and faithful to my vision.

I am excited to network with people who are not greedy, have integrity, possess their own souls and are able to join me in living up to my own phrase, to BE. Extraordinary!

On another note, I think we all should take the time to assess what we believe we are worth, and surround ourselves with people who hold us at the same level of value or higher. These types of people will always be honest, and hold us accountable. They will always encourage us to be our best selves inside and out.

I wish you the best this year in creating your team of supporters. We all need them.
